Rodez, the prefectural seat of Aveyron, is perched on a rocky outcrop at an elevation of 627 meters, overlooking a bend in the Aveyron River. Its metropolitan area encompasses 8 municipalities and nearly 60,000 residents, including Luc-la-Primaube, where the center is located.
The region is home to several leading companies in their respective fields: the century-old seed company RAGT, which employs more than 1,500 people worldwide; Bosch, one of the department’s leading private employers; and Soulié Restauration, which produces ready-made meals in Rodez sold under national brands. Bringing together clients, suppliers, or partners here means meeting them on their home turf.
After the meeting, the city is perfect for a group outing: the Soulages Museum, which opened in 2014 in the Foirail Garden, or Notre-Dame Cathedral, built entirely of pink sandstone, with a bell tower rising 87 meters high.
